It may not be true that most BSD code was written over beer....as good
as the BSD (FreeBSD/NetBSD/OpenBSD) stuff is, I doubt that those
graduate students and faculty who were the pioneers of and/or for BSD,
and hence for the internet, had any champagne.....if it was anything,
it was probably beer rather than anything expensive....

While BSD is the Champagne or the rarest of the scotches....I doubt
that the graduate students and faculty who love BSD had anything but
water.....
