Hello freeBSD experts,

I am thinking of installing freeBSD 4.0 to try it. I was wondering if
I can mount my exisiting linux disks (ext2) from freeBSD? And if so,
is there a utility to convert them to freeBSD file system? If not, I
can simply creat a freeBSD file system, and copy the ext2 files over,as
long as I can 'mount' my ext2 file system from freeBSD.

thanks!
Nasser

Yes, you can mount ext2fs, FAT and NTFS. I don't know of any utility to
convert them, however.

Hypertext man page:
http://www.FreeBSD.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=mount_ext2fs&apropos=0&sektion=0&manpath=FreeBSD+4.0-RELEASE&format=html

No problem, you can mount ext2fs within FreeBSD4.0.

My Debian GNU/Linux partitions are available to
FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE. The generic kernel didn't
support ext2fs so I built a new kernel.
