BSDI: BSDI 4.1, 4.0.1 patch announcement

Mod M410-008 has been released for BSD/OS 4.1.
Note: Previous patches that modified libc required bringing the machine
down to single user mode. This patch first copies the new version of libc
into the / partition and then uses the rename system call to copy
over the existing version of libc. This should make it unnecessary to
bring the machine to single user mode to apply this patch. This was
successful in all of our staged test cases. While it should not be
necessary, a prudent system administrator may prefer to schedule shutdown
time to apply this patch while in single user mode on partiuclarly busy
machines.
The README info for these mods are included below.
All BSD/OS mods are available via anonymous ftp from
