If I connect a serial cable, using tip from my laptop (running
OpenSolaris), I can easily boot the RS/6000, by selecting "Software",
then choosing the only option (AIX 5.2.0).
But that is of course not an ideal solution. I want it to auto-boot,
but can't seem to get it to do so.
I've got the CD-ROM drive as the first boot device, and the hard disk
with the operating system on as the second boot device. So I would
hope with no CD-ROM in the drive, it should boot from the hard drive.
But it does not appear to want to do this automatically.
