Your question does not make sense by itself. Do you mean the version
of the ODM data structures? AFAIK they have not changed since AIX 3.1
in 1990. Do you mean the version of the data? AFAIK there is no log
kept of revisions of the data.
You refer to PowerPath upgrade - please describe the problem you are
having. That will help us to help you.
You really should have worded your question differently i.e. "How do I
check EMC ODM device driver level?", as the ODM really is the AIX
equivalent of a Windows registry. Don't be surprised if you get some
funny comments around your question.
One way to check it is to run: lslpp -l|grep "EMC.*aix"
Upgrading the device driver would require a reboot, if that is what your
second question is about. Just upgrading PowerPath does not require a
reboot, but may still involve some "varyoffvg" volume group downtime as
the upgrade process will try and remove each existing hdiskpower device
and fail if it cannot be removed.
