I would like to get AIX or Linux on my BC-S power blade ( JS12 ). For
AIX I have to purchase a SWMA? Are there low cost options for getting
AIX? I want to use the system for development.

For Linux, do I need a SWMA? Can I find a power version of Linux and
install it in a PowerVM managed partition?

thanks,

Does the JS12 has been ordered with AIX - if not you have to buy a
license.

For Linux look:
http://www.yellowdoglinux.com/support/hardware/ (fedora not provide hcl
as usual)
http://fedoraproject.org/en/index (JS2x series is supported but JS1x
should work)
