Hi, I have a oracle shared file system under HACMP 4.3.1 and AIX 4.3.3
ML_06, the disks is 7133 d-40 Raid5 and nodes are S80s, the /oracle
filesystem becomes repatedly corrupted each day at about noon. Then I need
to peroform the fsck or filesystem as well as on the log device. Then all
goes ok. But next day same problem occurs! on the same /oracle filesystem.
Any idea what going wrong? The thing start happening after one week when the
C.E upload the firmware on the same node.
I have recreated the mount mount as well as done a full fsck sveral times
in last three days.
Thanks in advnace for the help.
Here is the errpt sample of te node.

Which firmware? The SSA drive firmware? The system firmware?
Whichever he uploaded probably caused the problem. You might
want to invite him to visit you again, this time with a different
level of firmware.

Hi, it was the firmware for S80. Infact the IBM C.E upgrade the b side of
the system firmware but do not promoted it to a side. The device driver are
at 4.3.3.25 level. All other disks/ enclousre microcode are at latest
levels.

Hello, did he reboot it "IPL Type B" after the upgrade? If so you will
be running the new microcode. You don't need to promote it to be
running it.

Thanks

Steven
