During migration lpar (mobility) from host to another host I have
following information:
The migrating partition's virtual SCSI adapter 50 cannot be hosted by
the existing virtual I/O server (VIOS) partitions on the destination
managed system. To migrate the partition, set up the necessary VIOS
hosts on the destination managed system, then try the operation again
Where is problem, how I can solve it? Thanks for help
Sk
provide more info, what have you done up to now?
have you zoned the moving lpar's disks to the target vio(s) as well?
Hi,
if this one is FC adapter verify that both worldwide port names (WWPNs)
are assigned to the same physical storage on the storage area network.
Maybe problem is that second system cannot see proper storage resources
- guess only - I'm not sure.
Anyway - where is this adapter connected on base partition?

As stated above, the LUNs have to be presented to both VIO Servers (no
physical disk, SAN LUNs only)
Some issues I hit .. device driver setup for MPIO on destination was
not the same .. i.e. was set up for RDAC and not MPIO .. also check
your disk settings that scsi reserves are off etc ..
The doc I followed is here ..
