Hi NG,

#############################################################################################

$ svmon -G -O unit=MB
Unit: MB
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
size inuse free pin virtual available mmode
memory 76800.00 73858.09 2941.91 4711.71 66282.57 7894.39 Ded
pg space 20352.00 602.40

work pers clnt other
pin 2197.59 0 0 2514.12
in use 66010.92 0 7847.16

#############################################################################################

I am interested in values of the *REAL* momory of this server.

What do the following column headings mean?
size inuse free pin virtual available mmode

Looking up tha man-pages of the command svmon didnt help me.

TIA,
Henning

See

That should answer most of your questions, I think.

If you just want to know the count (#) of your serever's Real mem - you
should use simple: lsattr -El mem0

svmon is rather for mem (let say vmm) usage

The most important is to watch that 'virtual' doesn't grow over 'size' (First row). In case it does - there is a good chance you might be approaching thrashing...
