nimesis subsystem in AIX

Anybody know what the subsystem nimesis in AIX V4.3.3 is? From where it is started?

numesis is the nim daemon, which runs on the "nim server" to
support network boots, builds, etc.

Nimesis is the daemon that manages NIM requests; it's there if you've
installed bos.sysmgt.nim.*. Started out of inittab in the 'nim' line at
runlevel 2.
