Hi Everyone

I have created a mksysb with the -m -e -p options. The rootvg contains
the NIM mksysb images of a number of servers also (hoping to save time
during a DR test)

When I attempt to restore from the mksysb I get the below error, saying
that it is unable to restore the NIM images (they are approx 1.2GB
each)

Restore : No space left on device
Restore: Unable to write to file /path/to/file/that/is/1.2gb

In the original server configuration, I have jfs2 filesystems with
fsize set to unlimited (must be to allow me to create the files in the
first place)

I am restoring to a server with hdisks of the same size as the original
server

Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Make sure that you have enough space in /tmp since -m also calls -i
which creates the boot image in /tmp.

I'm missing the -i flag here... this flag calls mkszfile to create a new
image.data file. This file contains the size of the LVs/Filesystems.

If you have increased your mksysb storage filesystem since the last time
you ran mkszfile, then that would be the cause of the problems.
