Can someone assist Please. We have an LPAR at oslevel-5300-09-02-0849
There are quite a few paths in defined state-

Defined hdisk3 vscsi0
Enabled hdisk1 vscsi1
Enabled hdisk2 vscsi1
Enabled hdisk3 vscsi1
Defined hdisk4 vscsi0

Defined hdisk10 vscsi0
Defined hdisk11 vscsi0
Enabled hdisk8 vscsi1
Enabled hdisk9 vscsi1
Enabled hdisk10 vscsi1
Enabled hdisk11 vscsi1
Defined hdisk12 vscsi0
Enabled hdisk12 vscsi1
Defined hdisk13 vscsi0
Enabled hdisk13 vscsi1
I have tried to run a cfgmgr & it returned the following error.
Method error (/etc/methods/cfgscsidisk -l hdisk6 ):
0514-040 Error initializing a device into the kernel.
The above error repeats for all the disks which are mapped to vscsi0.
We have scheduled a reboot on Monday hoping this will clear this
error.
Also I researhced error 0514-040 in the Message Center & the
recommendation was to copy the PdAt from a working system(at the same
release level,i went with another LPAR)onto this LPAR but then it gave
the foll error-
Method error (/usr/lib/methods/cfgiscsi -l iscsi0 ):
0514-061 Cannot find a child device.
cfgmgr: 0514-621 WARNING: The following device packages are required
for
device support but are not currently installed.
devices.vscsi.disk
I have backed out my changes(restored my old PdAt).

Also, errpt has the foll entry for each path to vscsi0-
LABEL: SC_DISK_ERR7

I have verified the Mapping from VIO to this LPAR & they are fine
Can someone Please assist with the following questions-
1)Will reboot help solve the problem
2)If Plan A(reboot) fails,whats my Plan B
Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
