While I am tying to perform a dynamic reconfigration of my hacmp cluster, I
have received the following message:
cldare: a lock for a dynamic reconfiguration event has been detected.
Another such event cannot be run until the lock has been released.
However, my cluster is only a two AIX box in hot-standby configuration. So,
there must be no other dynamic reconfiguration has been preformed on the
cluster to lock the resource.
So any body knows what is the cause of this problem and how to solve this
out?
Thanks in advance.

Best Regards,

Yiu

Yiu,

Check through the logs to see why this is happening firstly, when you
are confident that you are aware of what was happening on both nodes.

A pointer is: -

smitty cm_rec_aids

Release locks set by dynamic auto configuration Event

or /usr/sbin/cluster/utilities/cldare -u

this command is usually run with an active Cluster Manager Running.

Good luck, but be aware of why this reconfuration was happening, prior
to starting, don't say I did not warn you. - HACMP - as my kung fu
instructor always said to me "always be aware and never underestimate"
:-)

kind regards Aamir
