I can telnet to the server in question without any problem but the only
thing that fixes the above probem is to connec to the HTTP port and using
the web interface to reset the printer.
If I can't fix this problem, I would like to automate the reset. Has anyone
got an idea on how to go about this?
Thanks
Boris.
See if the Netport's LPD refuses the connection. You could try increasing
the timeout period. If your queue's backend program is rembak, add "-T60"
at the end of the backend line in /etc/qconfig. If the backend is piorlfb,
you can add the "-T60" into the rembak flags in the piorlfb script. You can
also use TCPrint instead to print to the netport and avoid this problem -
http://www.flash.net/~laixsoft to download.
