I need a little help digesting the following output. Basically, I'm
trying to make sure that en3 is set to 100 Full Duplex / Auto-neg OFF.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

en3 is indeed set for 100 Full Duplex and not to Auto Negotiate. The
lsattr output indicates the speed setting that will be used when the
interface is activated. If it were auto-negotiate it would look like the
following:

media_speed Auto_Negotiation Media Speed True

My experience has been that it's always best to set the interface to the
speed you actually want it to run at rather than rely on auto-negotiate.

Thank-you. Is it possible for a NIC to be configured as
100/full/auto-neg ON or is auto-neg OFF any time the card is
configured as 100/full or 100/half.

Thanks,

Mark

IIRC, you pick one from your list. That is it is 100/Full OR
100/Half OR Autoneg (or a couple of other configurations given
you have a 10/100/1000 card!). Can't be both manually set
and auto-configure in other words.
