According to the book AIX Version 4 System and Administration Guide by
James Deroest (Published by McGraw-Hill)
, page 540), there are a few AIX monitoring and tuning tools that bundle
with AIX.
Among them are bos.perf.diag_tool, /usr/sbin/perf/diag_tool and
perfangent.tools.
I only manage to find bos.perf.diag_tool in my AIX 4.2 CD.
Do I missed out anything? Or what is the good tool tomonitor system
peformance.
In my AIX CD, I couldn't find rmss that suppose to bundled together.
Any pointers are welcome.
TIA.

As I can remeber, in 3.2.5 and 4.1 they were released with the Aix CD
In 4.2 these tools were unfortunately packaged into "Performance
Toolbox" which is not a free bundle...
In 4.3 they change their mind and they have released them for free
IMHO, if you just want a simple tool for system monitoring, try
"monitor" from Jussi Maki, ftp://ftp.funet.fi/pub/unix/AIX/RS6000/
