Hi,
we monitioring on aix 5.1 with topas the system.
We have a nfs connection at this system, when there
is traffic on the Real Memory Usage comes over 100%
Here is an example
MEMORY
Real,MB 13311
% Comp 23.1
% Noncomp 77.3
%Client 16.2
---------
-> 116.6 % Thats nice

After the traffic stops over the nfs connection
it comes like this
MEMORY
Real,MB 13311
% Comp 23.1
% Noncomp 77.3
%Client 2.5
---------
-> 102.6 %
Thats over 100 % but we think that is the computing, no matter.

We ask IBM for that, but they can`t say why.
But we have a problem with our Memory and
so we wan`t a solution for that.

Thanks for any help

Don't use topas. Use nmon instead. STFG to find out why.

It means that AIX does squeeze the hardware to the limit. ;-)

Doing AIX support was the most monty-pythonesque activity available at the

Eagerly awaiting my wafer thin mint.
