I have an Okidata printer connected to an IBM RS/6000 running AIX 4.2.1. It
uses a serial connection to a concentrator. It is in its own queue. When
a short report is sent to this printer it prints fine. Longer reports print
a few pages and stop. Seems to be fairly consistent. I believe the cable
length is about 400 foot. I'm wondering if this is the problem. Any other
thoughts on what might make these reports stop?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Could be your printer buffer size in combination with the handshaking set
for the device. Okidata serial printers are best with DTR if you can manage
it. In any case, make sure the handshaking for host and device are the
same.
