scpio problems - old tape recovery of files

Hi all,

I am having problems recovering some old files from tape. I am using scpio -
etc. The files on the tape were created in the root directory. Hence the
recovery will be to root. I do not have enough space in root now.

Is there a parameter in scpio -i that will allow me to recover to, say, /usr2?

I have tried using symbolic links ln -s /usr2 / with no luck.

Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation.
