I apologize if this has been answered before. By the way if I get any (enough)
responses I'd be more than willing to organize and post.

A few I'd recommend (for general Unix Sysadmining- there are some focusing
on specific unices out there):
_The Keys to Successful Unix System Management_ Robert Ables, Prentice-Hall.
non-technical intro to what sysadmining is all about.
_Unix System Administration Handbook_ 2nd ed. Nemeth et al. Prentice-Hall.
Concidered THE book on Unix sysadmining. Recent 2nd edition with a CD-ROM
Tells how to admin 6 of the most popular unices (SunOS4, Solaris, HP-UX, OSF/1,
BSD/OS, Irix). Only major unices left out are SCO, AIX, & Linux.
_Essential System Administation_ Aeleen Frisch. O'Reilly & Assoc. Soon to
come out with a 2nd edition.
There is also SAGE (Systems Administrator Guide), which is part of USEnix and
which has published a booklet on sysadmin job decriptions, and recently ran
a salary survey. They have a web & ftp site.
