You can do it, but it's less trouble to spend about $20 on a linux
book that
comes with a CDROM inside.

Speaking only for myself,

I'd like to make a plug for www.debian.org, too.

In all honesty, you are looking for www.infomagic.com and you want the 6 CD
Developer Resource Kit, with RedHat, SuSE, Debian, Slackware, Kernel Sources,
Netscape4.5, Apache and XFree86 all on CD. Try four distributions without having
to wait and pay for downloads. For me the CDs are cheaper than downloading.
While I was there, I got a 4 CD set with Sunsite archive, TSX-11, GNU and more
(some duplicate of the other set). All still cheaper than downloading.

For anyone in .au reading this, I bought the two sets from www.cetustech.com.au
they sent it COD and I got it 3 days after placing the order. Same for RedHat
for Saprc that I got through them last month.

I don't work for cetustech or infomagic, just had great experiences with them.
