Yes. Retrieve your backup media from your storage area and recover
your files from it.

Hope this helps,
Don

The Coroner's Toolkit (TCT) by Dan Farmer and Wietse Venema is a collection of
computer forensics tools. I believe it has features for recovering deleted
files; I'm sure it isn't totally reliable but it may get you what you need. If
you plan to try it, I recommend that you stop using the machine in question
immediately, disconnect it from the network, and download TCT to a different
machine where you can read the docs. You can get TCT from

http://ftp.porcupine.org/mirrors/tct-mirror/tct.html

If your files happen to be in AFS or DFS, there's a very good chance
that you can retrieve your deleted file easily -- if less than a day has
passed since you deleted it. It's still in your ".backup"
volume/fileset most likely. You'll have to check with your sysadmins to
find out if your file is in AFS/DFS (if you don't know that it is, it
most likely is not), and also check with them to find out how to access
your .backup volume/fileset as there are several ways it can be set up
at a given installation.

try: "alias rm 'mv \!* /tmp/'"
then you can recover "rm"'d files until reboot

If you know the layout of your filesystem very well, use fsdb
