Greetings.

I evaluated CFEngine (http://www.cfengine.org) but before committing
to it, I would like to try out other open source tools of the kind, if
there are any others out there. Anybody can suggest me some good open
source alternatives?

Best regards,

just how good any of these might be depend on your needs and desires.

Thanks.

I am particularly seeking something to manage remotely configuration
files and that provides the capabilities of the EditFiles command
found in CFEngine.

Sincerely,
