Hi,
Hope this is the right place. Apologies if not! Anyway,
I've got a domain name called hello.co.uk which I know exists. When I do
telnet to it, it says "Unknown host". I remember there was a way to hop
to some gateway and they would be able to get me to hello.co.uk. Isn't
it something like "some_gate...@hello.co.uk" or something like
that.
Thanx in advance

K.

It isn't really the right place.

Looks to me like hello.co.uk is a Demon account with mail+web forwarding,
so the only host address listed is www.hello.co.uk. So it's quite correct
in reporting 'hello.co.uk' as an unknown host. Mail to hello.co.uk will be
relayed.

I think it used to be possible to find the actual Demon host (i.e.
???.demon.co.uk) that this type of account forwarded to, but at the moment
you can't. You could look at http://www.hello.co.uk and see if that tells
you what you need to know...
