A few of our clients using Microsoft Outlook ver 8.5, Build
4.71.2173.0 are having a strange problem that I am unable to solve.
They have a domain registered with us and are using it in their email.
When they send a message they are using their name and
em...@theirdomain.com as the email. When they send the mail it is
relieved by the recipient as email #34 <em...@theirdomain.com> which
is information taken from the /etc/passwd file instead of showing the
display name provided by Outlook. The only similarities I can find is
that they are both using Outlook and have direct ISDN connections
going through a proxy server. If anyone has a suggestion I would be
grateful. What we need to be happening is it to use the display name
provided by the email program.
TIA
Cheryl
