The PeroLyzer is a performance management system currently integrated
into the HP OpenView Platform based on RMON agents.
In addition to regular performance aspects ahown by other RMON applications,
the PerfoLyzer includes a uniquely developed and heavily tested
mathematical model that simplifies the communication performance profile
for each host to the user.
The simplified profile aspect shows in 0% - 100%
the host transmition delay level caused by various network activities.
The model is using various statistics from the RMON probes
such as :
* profiled host packet sizes and traffic rate
* other hosts packet sizes and traffic rates
* collision rate
The PerfoLyzer, considering the simplified profile aspect, enables :
* Performance Profile building, view and reports
* performance monitoring
* Simulation of performance profile in new configuration state.
