Hi, Friends

I am trying to get "fat" greek letters in my right-up.
By "fat" I mean to make it look like a symbol representing a vector.
(In troff, there is such a function "fat", but in LaTex or Tex it
seems that there is no such counterpart.) Would you please tell
me the tricks to realize it in LaTex. Thanks a lot! Also please
e-mail me directly.

Sincerely

Jian-Min

Dear Sirs,

Thank you very much for your kind reply. Best Wishes!

According to three gentlemen, there are three ways to do it:

1. Define \newcommand{\boldeta}{\mbox{\boldmath $\eta$}}

2. $\boldsymbol{\Gamma}$

3. If you use amsbsy.sty there is a command \pmb (poor man's bold).

Take a look at Appendix D of the TeXbook.
