Hello,
I am using the DC fonts for some time now and last week I upgraded to
version 1.2. I found out that the \ss Symbol ("scharfes S") has become
very curly compared to CM or the older DC fonts. I think that the
original \ss Symbol fitted better to the font layout (I am no font
designer, though).
Is there a way to use the original \ss or will there be a change in the
DC font layout?
Best Regards,
Axel Thimm.
There's a switch called
classic_sharp_s
in the sources of DC fonts 1.2, which is set to |false| in
"dxbase.mf". If you set it to |true| you will get the ``old'' form
from version 1.1.
Best wishes,
-bernd
BTW, In the coming version 1.3 I have improved the new
design considerably, if you are interested in testing
pre-releases, drop me a short e-mail.
