(latex) footnote disappear when in math mode!

Hi everyone,

I added a footnote to a \mbox inside math mode (\begin{eqnarray*} ...
\end{eqnarray*}). The footnote did not apprear anywhere in the output.
I also tried putting the footnote out side the \mbox, same thing
happens: the number apprear in the text, but the footnote never
showed up.

So, is it possible to have footnote while inside math mode? If so, how?

You can say \footnotemark in math mode
and then later (outside math) \footnotetext{...}.
