My apologies if this is an FAQ, but can someone advise me on how to
change font size in math environment in TeX ? I started to make some
slides but realized to my embarrassment that I didn't know how to do
get math characters and formulae in bigger font.

Any reply will be much appreciated. And thanks in advance.

Can't you just say
{\Large
...
}
?
(Or \LARGE or even \huge.)

Yes, you can, but this changes only the point size of the font, not
the font itself.

I'm having a similar problem.

I want to be able to change the font itself within SliTeX, because the \Pi is
awful. I want to use the LaTeX version of \Pi within SliTeX.

Thanks a lot for the answer. It solves my problem very neatly.
