Dear all,
I updated my TeXLive into 2015 via Macports yesterday and now my plots
won't compile.

The following is a script I call with gnuplot.

gnuplot test_graph.plt

And it should generate a plot with latex / tkiz. But it stops.

l.22 \gpsetdashtype
{gp dt solid}
?

Can somebody help me with it? I cannot generate a single plot now. Or I
need to downgrade. Sorry, if I am in the wrong group. Not sure where to
go otherwise.

Thank you
Gudrun

My example script:

#!/usr/bin/gnuplot
basename='test_graph.plt'
end3='.tex'
set style line 1 lt 1 lw 2 pt 6 ps 0.75 lc rgbcolor "#b03060" #Maroon
f(x)=sin(x)
plot f(x) with lines ls 1
set term tikz size 342.435pt,228pt standalone header
"\\usepackage{MyGnuplotLaTeX}" font "\\rmfamily,12pt"
set output basename.end3
replot
set output
system(sprintf('pdflatex %s%s', basename, end3))

%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%

MyGnuplotLaTeX.sty contains:

\usepackage{amsmath} % More math formatting
\usepackage{amssymb}
\usepackage{graphicx} % Include graphics
\usepackage{tgtermes} % use termes instead
\usepackage{csquotes}
\usepackage[english]{babel}
\usepackage{blindtext}
\usepackage{upgreek}
\usepackage{siunitx}
\usepackage[version=3]{mhchem}

% Latin Modern (similar to CM with more characters)
\usepackage{lmodern} % math, rm, ss, tt

% The prescribed page layout. Ugh.
%\usepackage[%
%paper=a4paper%
%,lmargin=2cm%
%,rmargin=2cm%
%,tmargin=2.5cm%
%,bmargin=2.5cm%
%]{geometry}

I just downgraded to TeXLive2014, no problem there.

I don;t think it is generally recommended to use TeXLive from MacPorts.
Use MacTeX instead. tug.org/mactex

Howdy,

I know nothing about TeX Live via MacPorts but are you sure you don't
have some older package in your personal tree that is interfereing with
an updated one from TeX Live 2015?

Good Luck,

We don't need the gnuplot script. Here is the resulting .tex, that is
created. It is standalone.
I get an error here:
! Undefined control sequence.

This control sequence is defined in gnuplot-lua-tikz-common.tex, a
file supplied by gnuplot. I have no trouble with the file that comes
with gnuplot 5.0 patchlevel 0.

However, on my system I had to move all the files under
gnuplot/share/texmf/ to locations in my TeXLive tree so that
latex would find them.

I expect one of the other responders was correct in that the file
gnuplot-lua-tikz-common.tex might occur in two places in your system
and the wrong one gets used.
