I'm looking for a way to import LibreCAD files into LaTeX. LibreCAD uses
DXF as it's native format and can export files in SVG format.

Are there any Linux based (presumably open source) programs which will
convert the LibreCAD DXF or SVG files into tikz/pgf or even PDF, and has
some support for using LaTeX fonts/math in text (e.g. similar to xfig)?

Most of the conversions I've found seem to rely on Inkscape from SVG to
PDF, which works, but does not support fonts/math in texts as far as I
know.

Thanks!

The easiest way to do that is to print into a pdf-file. In other words, use the print dialog
of LibreCAD and select the printer that generates pdf rather than paper output. Most
operating systems install this printer by default.

Note, however, that this generates 2D pdf-files. I have no experience with 3D pdf-files and
know neither how to generate them nor how to utilize them in LaTeX. Any info, anybody?

I tried this first, but the margins did not seem to be correct. However,
SVG and converting SVG to PDF with inkscape works and the margins seem
to enclose the extent of the drawing.
