Q: pdfcrop.pl !!! Error: Cannot move ...

Hello,

I'd like to truncate a pdf-file by using pdfcrop.

Writing "pdfcrop filename.pdf" at the prompt results in "!!! Error:
Cannot move `tmp-pdfcrop-###.pdf´ to `filename-crop.pdf´!"

Any ideas why this may happen?

It is no problem to truncate the pdf-file with Adobe Acrobat 8
Professional or PDF-XChange 4 Pro.

(I use this version because a newer one leads to "'-' is not recognized
as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.")

What is "Patch 0.4"?

In later versions I have fixed a bug, for instance:
2008/01/09 v1.8: Fix for moving the temporary file to the
output file across file system boundaries.
Or the temporary file isn't generated, because the ghostscript run
failed. See output of option --verbose and --debug.

I don't know. But here is the whole output:

No, ghostscript is the problem, try another version of ghostscript.

I followed the thread "A problem about oberdiek's pdfcrop.pl" and I'm
glad that v1.13 is working now. Many thanks to Heiko.
