I would like to include subsubsection in the table of contents and
used the following (LaTeX 2e, book.cls:

\setcounter{tocdepth}{3}

But it uses the same indentation for the subsubsection as the
subsection. How do I increase it?

Thanks in advance,

sudeep

Take a look at book.cls (always good), it tells you for toc entries:

\newcommand*\l@subsection{\@dottedtocline{2}{3.8em}{3.2em}}
\newcommand*\l@subsubsection{\@dottedtocline{3}{7.0em}{4.1em}}

The last three arguments are: level of toc, indentation, width of
numbering
(LaTeX Companion, p. 34, always good too)

i.e. if nothing was changed from the original LaTeX distribution the toc
indents subsubsection by 7em and subsections by 3.8em.

If you have problems put the above into a style file, change it
according to your wishes, include it into your document by
\usepackage{}.
