I am looking at the configuration wizard log of WinEdt.
It says that it cannot find "gswin32.exe". There is no
such file in my ghostcript directory. Should I install
another type of ghostscript that contains that file?
Thanks!

Windows XP, 3.4GIG CPU, 2GIG RAM, WinEdt, MikTeX, AMSLaTeX.

I guess so. By default, it should be located at:

C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.xx\bin\gswin32.exe

Where 8.xx is the version number os GhostScript you have installed
(there may be more than one inside the gs directory).

Joseph,

Thank you for your response. I have installed GhostScript 8.56.
However, there is no file gswin32c.exe (it should be 32c)
in the directory C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.xx\bin\gswin32.exe.
All I find in this "bin" directory is

gsdll2.dll
gsos2.exe
gspmdrv.exe

There is something really wrong here. The folder

C:\Program Files\gs\gs8.56\bin\

should contain the files gsdll32.dll, gsdll32.lib, gswin32.exe, and
gswin32c.exe.

On the other hand, since one of the files that you have is gsos2.exe, I
suspect that somehow you tried to install Ghostscript for OS2, instead
of the Windows version. Is that it?

Thank you very much Joseph and Jose. You are right.
I had downloaded the OS version instead.
