I'm using MikTex, what other options (freeware options) do i have instead of WinEdt?

TeXnicCenter is a free (and good) alternative to WinEdt.

Dirk Stuve's WinTeXShell is pretty cool (wish it had a find button though)

I have been using winedt, but took the time to learn emacs and now I
use almost no other programs.
