I can't find any problem in the fields 'month' of the bib file which
all seem correct : {Jan}, {Feb} etc.....
Any clue ?
Thanks
Jacques
Month is an integer field, that means Janury is {1}, February {2} etc.
Simon
jan instead of {Jan}, feb instead of {Feb}, etc. should work!
Christof
It wont. Biblatex uses integers for dates (see my other post).
simon
Actually both solutions do the trick : {Jan} does not work, but {1}
and jan (without braces) are recognized as january.
Now I have to get Jabref automatically output the correct syntax for
the month field.
Many thanks to both of you.
Jacques.

You're correct. Biblatex's documentation says the following:
"2.3.7 Months and journal issues
The month field is an integer field. The bibliography style converts the month to
a language-dependent string, ordinal, or date as required. For backwards com-
patibility, you may also use the following three-letter abbreviations
in bib files:
jan, feb, mar, apr, may, jun, jul, aug, sep, oct, nov, dec. Note that
these abbre-
viations are BibTeX strings which must be given without any braces or quotes.
When using them, don’t say month={jan} or month="jan" but month=jan. It is
not possible to specify a month such as month={8/9}. With special cases such as
double issues of journals, the issue should be given in the issue field instead.
The placement of the issue field in @article entries is similar to and overrides
the month field."

In Jabref, write "#jan#" (without the quotes), that writes "jan" (without
braces) in the .bib file.
