Hi All,

I need some group of text should be in a shadow box. For this
requirement, I've used the below PS-Tricks codings, in this I want'
the shadow color should be in gradient style (gradbegin=black!40 and
gradend=black!5). Is there any help in this regard?

My code are as follows:
*******************************

\documentclass{book}

\usepackage{pstricks,pst-xkey}%

\begin{document}

\psframebox[shadow=true,linecolor=black,linewidth=0.5pt,framesep=6pt,shadowsize=6pt]
{\vbox{In this chapter we will study, in some detail, the simplest
possible nontrivial model of a financial market---the binomial model.
This
is a discrete time model, but despite the fact that the main purpose
of the
book concerns continuous time models, the binomial model is well worth
studying. The model is very easy to understand, almost all important
concepts which we will study later on already appear in the binomial
case,
the mathematics required to analyze it is at high school level, and
last but
not least the binomial model is often used in practice.}}%

\end{document}

Best Regards,
Saravanan,M.

\documentclass{book}
\usepackage{pst-blur}

\begin{document}

\psframebox[shadow,blur,
shadowcolor=black!40,blurbg=black!5,
linewidth=0.5pt,

framesep=6pt,shadowsize=6pt]
{\vbox{In this chapter we will study, in some detail, the simplest

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your valuable reply and it works nice. I need a small
requirement in this. Actually the gradient should be vary from right
side to left side (gradually decreased 40% black from right side to
left side then end with 5%). Can we use as gradangle in this? Kindly
help me.

Best Regards,

Thanks for supplying the answer. I was also curious about this
example. However, when I tried to compile the code you gave in your
first reply, I get the following error:

:
:
! Package xkeyval Error: no value specified for key `shadow'.

See the xkeyval package documentation for explanation.
Type H <return> for immediate help.
...

l.19 ...inomial model is often used in practice.}}
%
?

Something is obviously not right. Could you please suggest what might
be the problem here? Would appreciate. Regards,

Tariq
