Some of the Table Of Contents Section numbers protrude into the Section
Titles.

For example, the TOC entry is:

14.79 Text Text Text . . . . . . . . . 522

or

B.179 Text Text Text . . . . . . . . . 790

The "9" occupies some of the same space at the first "T" in the first
"Text". This does not occur for smaller numbers such as 14.9 or B.79

I added:

\makeatletter
\renewcommand*{\numberline}[1]{\hb@xt@3em{#1\hfil}}
\makeatother

to the source. This has the effect of moving the "Text Text Text" to
the right and placing a nice space between the "9" and the first "T" in
the first "Text".

Unfortunately, if the section title's length causes its TOC entry to
wrap to the next line, then the first character of the next line is
aligned underneath the "9" instead of underneath the first "T" in the
first "Text".

As much as I want to shorten the name, I can't. Is there another
command that will increase the width of the information on subsequent
TOC lines?

Thank you.
