Hi,
I'm looking for a (good) way to exchange documents between FrameMaker
(on a Sun) and MS-Word. Is there a way to import a Word document to
FrameMaker with all the attributes, formulas and pictures preserved?
And the other way around. Can someone help me?

The only way I have found to do this, and I am SURE that there is a better way, is to use IslandWrite to go back and forth - it converts to and from a bunch of different formats. Unfortunately, it preserves none of the formulas or pictures. And it helps to have access to a that supports all of these different packages.

Framemaker on the Mac, at least, comes with filters for converting
from Word format to Frame. The filter works pretty well, in my
experience. I don't know about the other way. -- J
