Hello everyone! I work for AMD. We are using Framemaker 4
My engineering community uses Timing Designer to generate
timing waveforms and Designer to generate circuit diagrams.

My questions is: How can I get Framemaker 4 to convert these packages?

Any and all help is mucho appreciate! Please Email to lenb@pcdmail
Posting also might help others! Thanx again!

Frame's Inset editor could be used. I'm familiar with the concept but I've
never used this Frame feature.

Note: TimingDesigner 2.1(just released) has Frame MIF output.

Good morning!

A sales rep. from the makers of Timing Designer had called me in recent
past (3-4 weeks ago) asking if I was interested in a demo of a new version
of Timing Designer which, among other features, had a Frame export function.

I was not interested, but it sounds like you may be.... Unfortunately,
I have lost my information on the mortal who called...

Good night.

Good news: TimingDesigner v2.0 supports FrameMaker using Maker Interchange
Format (MIF) output! Both timing diagrams and parameter tables can be
exported in MIF and imported into FrameMaker. In FrameMaker, the images
can then be ungrouped and each component (waveform, annotation, ruler, etc.)
can be individually manipulated with FrameMaker's graphics tools.

If you'd like to see a sample of TimingDesigner's output, FTP to
ftp.uu.net (137.39.1.9 or 192.48.96.9) and grab the file named
/vendor/Chronology/sample.mif.

You can also grab a demo copy of TimingDesigner there in a few days.
Don't get the 1.3 version - it doesn't do MIF. For more info,
contact Chronology at chronco!sa...@uunet.uu.net or 800-800-6494.

Disclaimer: I work for Chronology and, in fact, I wrote the MIF output
driver. If anybody has any helpful comments on the sample MIF file,
please feel free to drop me some email at chronco!r...@uunet.uu.net.
