I have a couple small cell phone lcd panels that I wanted to see if I could drive somehow to use as a wearable display. Searching isn't turning up much info on reusing cell phone displays, anyone messed with them at all?

Possibly. Some phone displays are very cheap on ebay. Annoyingly, OLED ones are simply not available.
