3rd (2005) Annual Workshop on
Intelligent Pervasive Computing

In conjunction with The 2005 International Conference on Pervasive
Systems and Computing (PSC'05)
and The 2005 International Multiconference in Computer Science and
Computer Engineering

June 27-30, 2005, Monte Carlo Resort, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Pervasive computing may be defined as anytime anywhere availability of
computing resources and services unobtrusively embedded in the
environment. In its essence, pervasive computing uses mobile and
wearable devices, wireless communications and nomadic or ubiquitous
computing systems. Intelligent pervasive computing focuses on merging
intelligent and agent-based system with the pervasive computing
paradigm. This workshop will cut across several major computer science
areas and focus on new developments in such areas as intelligent
pervasive systems and services, wearable computing, intelligent
embedded and internet-enabled devices, wireless technology, and
distributed intelligent problem solving.

Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
* Intelligence in pervasive environments
* Ubiquitous computing systems
* Pervasive agent technologies and systems
* Ambient intelligence
* Intelligent peer-to-peer networking
* Intelligent environments
* Smart devices and smart spaces
* Personalized applications
* Intelligent mobile / wireless systems and services
* Context-based and location-aware technologies
* Intelligent user interfaces and interaction models
* Multimodal user interfaces

Authors are invited to submit draft papers of not more than 7 pages of
double column text using single spaced 10 point size type on 8.5 x 11
inch pages, as per IEEE 8.5 x 11 manuscript guidelines
(http://www.computer.org/cspress/instruct.htm). The first page of the
draft paper should include: title of the paper, name, affiliation,
postal address, E-mail address, telephone number, and fax number for
each author. The first page should also include the name of the author
who will be presenting the paper (if accepted) and a maximum of 5
keywords. Authors should submit a PostScript (level 2) or PDF file
that will print on a PostScript printer.

All papers will be evaluated for originality, significance, clarity,
and soundness. Each paper will be refereed by at least two researchers
in the topical area. The camera-ready papers will be reviewed by one
person.

All papers will be published in the conference proceedings by Computing
Science Research, Education and Application Press (CSREA). Some
accepted papers will also be considered for journal publication (soon
after the conference). All conference proceedings published by CSREA
Press are considered for inclusion in major database indexes that are
designed to provide easy access to the current literature of the
sciences.
