(This has been announced elsewhere but I'm not convinced that the news has reached everyone.)
It was with great sadness that I announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Andy Mountford on Sunday September 10th. Andy was well known to many in the ClearPath MCP community. Respected throughout Unisys and our client base - his influence was truly global. Andy worked for Unisys UK for almost 40 years having started his career with Burroughs in December 1977. As a key member of the MCP Software global support team, his technical capabilities were wide and deep. Always willing to assist and share his great knowledge, Andy had that rare ability of being able to distill a complex problem down to an understandable explanation. He was a true collaborative spirit.
At a personal level Andy was a kind, helpful and thoughtful person with a wry sense of humour. His everyday presence will be sadly missed by all.
Our thoughts are with his wife Ewa and daughter Ania.
Raise a glass to the man. He would appreciate that.

Couldn’t put it better - enjoyed every opportunity I had to interact with Andy and he influenced my own thinking over the years.
