I recently learned of a utility that lays itself over EDIT 1100 or IPF
1100.
Without the help of someone in-shop, I would not have been able to recover
an original version of the source... but I found that there is another
utility/tool
that I need know something about.
The only problem is that TOCED may not be a Unisys product.
Okay, Where can I find a text manual, or an Adobe PDF... something that I
could study (refer to) on my PC workstation.

The source is
here:http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Estates/4499/UNISYS/unisys.html and I
think it comes with documentation. (sorry, I archived that stuff here)

Barry,

It's not a Unisys product - and it's based on the old @ED editor, not on IPF
EDIT 1100. But it's a very commonly-used product on OS/2200 sites..

I see that Andrew Williams has given you some details.

In my experience, many TOCED installations include a DOC file - try using
TOCED itself to look at the file where its absolute is - you might find a
DOC file in there that gives you the details.

But if all else fails, look up the old @ED stuff - someone at your site is
bound to have an old reference card for it, and most TOCED commands are very
closelyt based on the corresponding @ED commands.
