Anyone know how to get the card reader to work again on a TI59? It
appears to write ok (i.e. without error), but if I try to read the
card back in (to the same bank, after turning off the machine) all I
can get is a flashing '21' error code (which I presume means read
error).

Any tips welcomed!

I got a brand new battery pack for the machine, and it still seems to
work perfectly apart from the card reader.

I had a similar problem...
- try to remove the standard library module, switch on and test the card
reader: on one of my TI this was the problem and I don't know why... Then
when putting back the module, it went on working.

- else, open the TI 59 and you'll find on the right (left?) side a
circular variable resistor that you can tune with a scren driver. Move it
really slowly! And try to read or write until it is ok.

- else, I had to to this on one TI, the "head" was really dirt! I had to
disassemble the card reader and clean it with some alcohol.

Guillaume.
