I am looking for some (any) information about a prolific game and
music programmer named Jim Beck. Jim is the author of several game
programs on the Altman Fairware List and my research uncovered the c99
and XB titles listed below that Mr. Beck appears to have contributed
to the TI-99 Community between 1987 and 1989.

Unfortunately, beyond the fact that Jim Beck lived in Edmonton,
Alberta at the time he contributed all this software, I cannot find
out even what User Group(s) he might have belonged to. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Jim Who? Never heard of the guy! Errr.. wait... I guess it's me.

Seriously though, it was kind of weird when my daughter asked me about games I'd written ages ago and this showed up on a google search.

I used to be an avid game player/programmer on the TI99 - I sold games for a while until someone introduced me to the fact that companies would pay good money for kids like me who liked to program stuff for them. (Sell-out? Me? Never!... Well, ok maybe.) :)

I was a bit shocked that some of those games are still around - I probably wrote over 100 of them over the years.

And than again, a few of them I can't even REMEMBER by the title - talk about geting OLD!

Cheers.

Jim,
Thanks for these games. The TI-99 was my first computer, in 1982, when I was
16. And your games were a very memorable part of that!
