How do you run a Tandy pc-7 or is it dead?

I picked up a Tandy pc-7 pocket computer at a junk shop recently but am not
sure now if it's dead or not. Put new batteries in it and the sceeen comes
up saying: READY P0. But that's all that I can get to happen. Pushing the
other buttons gets no reaction, nor does hitting the reset button. Am I
doing something or or is it a goner? Thanks!

Mode, 1 to program.
Mode, 0 to run.

Manuals for any of PC-4 on up will tell you more.

Neil: Thanks for speaking up ... but could you be a little bit more explicit
about what I can do to see if my PC-7 is dead or alive? What I can tell you
is that pressing the MODE button does nothing, either by itself or in
conjunction with 1 or 0. All I get is what I always get when I turn the
thing on: a screen that reads READY P0 (and above that, in smaller letters:
``run'' and ``deg''). Further thoughts and/or suggestions?
btw, I don't have a manual for the machine or any of the lesser similar
ones. Do you know of any that are posted online?

You have to press the keys in sequence, first Mode, then 1. It should
say 'Wrt' then. I think the mode label is top on the right.

Also, when in run mode, press AC then 5 * 7 then EXE. You should get
the answer.

There is a PC-4 service manual online,

(What was it really? Casio FX-5200P).
