DMP 106 Printer ribbons

Does anyone own one of these (dmp 106)? I am trying to figure out what
ribbon these take. Radioshack still has various ribbons for the older
printers but the closest I can find (by part number) is one for the dmp 107.

Would appreciate any help!

It's the same as the DMP-105. I believe it was a somewhat IBMized
version of that printer. According to RS, the Black Fabric Cartridge
Ribbon for both is 260-1288.

Unfortunately neither of these are available from RS anymore. So if anyone
knows where they can still be purchased or if the ribbon for this one is
available that fits in other printers I would appreciate any help.

Try to find someone who makes ribbons locally. I know we had an
active operation locally at one time. Failing that, you'll have to
buy some other type and rebuild them yourself. Now tell ME how to get
26-1297, which is a one strike THERMAL ribbon for the portable
printer!

Kind of pricey I thought. I doubt there'll be many bidders. Keep any
old ribbons - you'll have to start refilling them.

It depends on what you need. If you have the ribbon cartridges they can
be restuffed with new ribbons. You can also get a re-inking machine from
them and use it on any dot matrix ribbon. Bit pricy - around 80 bucks
IIRC - but I haven't bought any new ribbons since I've had one.

If you need completely new cartridges I doubt they will have them. But
if anyone will know what the cross reference would be for a different
model they should know. Bug them if you need to - their responding to
e-mails is a bit flaky.
