Hello,
I am looking for a good 6530 emulation under Linux/KDE. So far, I have tried
the BSI-x6530 program from Bowden Systems (http://www.bsi2.com/), but it
does not seem to work properly under KDE : function keys are trapped by the
environment. I have spent some time trying to set up a keyboard
configuration file but miserabily failed... I have evaluated j6530 - a java
applet emulating a 6530 terminal : works nice, but we have a little budget
problem there. Does anyone knows either how to configure BSI-x6530 to work
under KDE, or of another (ideally open source) emulator ?

Bernard,
Have you tried Web6530 from www.insession.com, it's free. No budget required.
